As you may know I had a charity place for the London Marathon this year. I chose to run for a small East London charity – The Docklands Settlements who do great work to support my local community. They operate out of 3 community centres in the Docklands area and provide services from after school care through to special needs classes.
My Golden Bond pledge with them was to raise £1250.
This weekend I collected the last of my sponsorship money and am thrilled to report that I smashed this target and raised £1733.20!
I am delighted to have raised such a huge amount for the charity and know that it will be put to great use.
I want to say a huge Thank You to everyone that sponsored me and supported my marathon fundraising efforts.
Congratulations – a fantastic result for a great cause!
Your blog is looking absolutely fabulous, by the way 🙂
Thank you and thank you! I love my new look blog 🙂
I also ran for Dockland Settlements in this years Virgin London Marathon! Well done on smashing your fund raising target. Victoria x

I think there were only about 25 of us so it’s amazing that you’ve found me! I bumped into one other DS runner on the way round – around the 17-20mile part we kept crossing over but I didn’t see anyone else on the day. Maybe I’ll meet you when we get invited to their annual bash – September I think they said? Well done on your marathon efforts too. Next year?
