30 Day Shred – Day 5

I woke up early this morning, way too early and had just got back off to sleep when my alarm went off and told me it was time to get up and do Day 5 of my 30 Day Shred. Getting going this morning felt tough. I was aching from yesterday and feeling tired. During the first set of warm up jumping jacks I wondered if I’d actually make it through the 20 mins.

But it got better as I warmed and woke up and I made it through to the end. Towards the end of the workout Jillian says “if you’re on day 5 or 6 or 7 you must be noticing real improvements in your endurance from day 1” and I definitely am. I also thought that my tummy was feeling smaller than last week so I measured my waist and sure enough I’ve lost half an inch from it already!

My hand weights arrived today – I have 1kg, 1.5kg and 2.5kg pairs.

I’ll start with the 1kg pair tomorrow and see how I get on. It’s twice as much as the milkshake bottles I’ve been using so far so I’m sure my arms will notice the difference!

  1. I love how you see quick results in programs like these, I do the 100 Push Up challenge and was surprised at how quickly I could do more repetitions and feel better at the same time.
    Hope you continue to have fun with the 30 Day Shred!
