[DECISIONS] I've made a few decisions recently. At the grand old age of 45 I've decided that it's time to concentrate on masters strongwoman competitions rather than pitting myself against women half my age. I've also decided it's time to invest in some bespoke programming and coaching so have signed up with @strengthcoach_london - the strongest 40-something in London. Really looking forward to getting started on my new programme next week - it's quite different to how I have been training which can only be a good thing. [SUNDAY LUNCH] Not going to lie I needed food today. We had a great sharing beef roast @thequeensarms_ed with beautiful beef, roasts, yorkies and veg. Best of all loads of lovely gravy to top it all off. Lovely and life affirming when you've perhaps over indulged the night before.... #sundayroast #sundaylunch #roast #pub
[SOUTHSIDE SCRAN] I loved loved loved our lunch @southsidescran today. Started with beef tartare and then decided to try the roe deer special which did not disappoint. [PRESSING] Today was supposed to be deadlift day but for the first time in a while my back was telling me that it wouldn't be wise. I'm due to see my sports therapist @sonia.p10.fitness in a week or so, it's probably overdue as I've ramped up my training since the New Year. Rather than deadlift I switched things up and had a pressing day instead. Bench press 4 x 8 @36kg then back under the yoke for some more comp practice. Managed 2 reps @48kg today and really nearly got comp weight 50kg overhead. This is definitely a technique, not strength issue so just need to keep working on it. Finished off with incline dumbbells and rotator cuff work. #sundaygymday #bnsf #esw #masters #compprep #strongwoman #strength
